I have down some research into different design manifestos that do and do NOT appeal to me as a person and a designer. I feel that a manifesto can have no wrong or right impression, it tends to be based on the creator and offers an insight into the way they work. I feel that I could really learn and benefit from finding out about manifestos that rant just from a graphic design perspective.
Hnadwritten:
Offers a personal affect
Type based:
Creates and portrays aspects of a personality
Layout and bold type:
Clear design aesthetic and layout
Traditional design manifesto;
Uisng colour and image:
Creating a manifesto book not just a poster
This links to manifesto as you are kind of branding yourself in more ways then one. I think adding a read like this to the research allows you to explore and deepen my understanding of a brand and how it works to portray the company, client or designer.
